If you’re British you might remember Max Headroom as the VJ of a channel 4 music show, and a slightly irritating one at that, but did you know that Max had his own (British) television movie in 1984 and subsequently an American series? The show, first aired in the mid-80’s, and enjoying the odd re-run on Bravo the the Sci-Fi channel, has a increasing cult status, not in the least for it’s quite impressive vision of technology and the role of media “20 minutes into the future”. The creator and actor in a latex mask was one Canadian Matt Frewer who had had a small time movie career before (Truck driver in Supergirl) and, to a slightly lesser degree, after Max.
