whooo! Check out the Sydney sunshine!! It’s soo warm and sunny, it’s like London midsummer and the sydneysiders are saying how “springy” it is. I feel that terrible English compulsion to throw myself down in a grassy area and roll up clothes as much as they allow to get some exposure… although the lack of ozone, or whatever it is, does notice on people’s faces here. Wrinkles set in pretty early, so maybe I’ll hold back. But I want to go out! And sit in beer gardens sipping Belgian lager (you know, the white beers with the lemon in) …yum ! Damn. 20 minutes for lunch is not going to suffice. Makes me start thinking that whole “… how can I get ridiculously rich quickly so I don’t have to work…” Hrm.

Anyway, am trying to motivate myself to do some Kung Fu tonight. It will hurt, I’ll be crap at it and I know I shall look completely lacking in dignity and poise (not that I’ve ever had that anyway) so I keep finding excuses, thinking i’ll start it when I’ve miraculously woken up fit, buff and co-ordinated. …which really isn’t looking like any day soon.

On a geekier note, I’m playing with Knoppix today which is really fun, and works remarkably well. Must be that insrutable Germanic engineering, gives you some kind of confidence. Also I am trying to resurrect my use of encryption in email. It’s a good practice, even if just to prove that we should have rights to our privacy, no matter how mundane the content of the email. So send me your public keys and whatever, and encrypt to me with my latest key, I forgot the passphrases to the older ones.
