Kwee was struck down with chronic pneumonia and had an emergency vets appointment. Luckily he seem to have made a miraculous recovery (despite my utter failure to administer his antibiotics injections) . Enki is picking up too and after a couple of days hiding under the DVD viewing platform (now abreviated to ’the DVDVP’) he’s beginning to forgive me, partly I guess, due to the bribery of a whole tub of “Teco’s ready chopped garden salad” and tortilla chips.

Spent the weekend partly buried in java READMEs, JNDI, JSSE, JAXP (I can’t really say what it does, but I know it’s more of an abstraction than an API, *sigh*) and other J* things that escape me. I hate Sun, partly for renaming all the Java stuff in really stupid fashion (i.e. the jdk1.2 is now J2SDK, but I need libraries from J2SE (?!) for some reason.), oh and for the clarity of their website and the random fashion they display their download links. Really, I mean you’d expect more from someone like them. And - and I had to install zip just beacuse they couldn’t manage to tar.gz their products. Rant over
