Today, I bought a magic coat.

No, really - I did. It’s leather and it casts some kind of spell on hapless onlookers. When I first put it on - I found myself striding with a peculiar sense of purpose and drive that I certainly don’t usually have. People seemed to be stepping out of my way with a look of respect. Could it be my magic coat?

Then I wore my coat to see a band in Camden, Spy51 (passable by the way) and as I was striding (again, purposefully back from the toilets I passed the singer from the band greeting some friends.
She turned quickly to me with a look of complete recognition and cried “Oh - Hi!”, and gave me a look of forgive-me-if-i-seem-rude-i’m-having-to-talk-to-lots-of-people sort of grimace. I beamed broadly, said “Hi” ,and walked on not wanting to embarass her.

Other people in the crowd (and a small one at that) seemed to be looking at me trying to place me as if I was someone important that they ought to remember - It was very odd.

Was it my magic coat, I wonder?

I intend to try this mystical coat in varied situations and see if it works in my favour. It’s quite Matrix-y in a way, I think you could hide serious firearms in the sides and no-one would notice. Anyway - I’ll let you know how the magic coat goes tomorrow. Stay tuned.
